Indonesia’s palm oil market is facing a severe supply squeeze caused by climate shocks, aging trees, and a mandatory B50 biofuel policy that locks away 29 million tons for domestic use. This drastic reduction in exports is driving global prices up past IDR 21.3M–21.8M per ton. While this restricts global supply, it drives record profit margins and strong cash generation for low-cost upstream producers on the Indonesian stock exchange.
